
The Busoga Royal Family and the Obwa Kyabazinga bwa Busoga are overflowing with joy and celebrations as His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV, the Kyabazinga of Busoga, has graduated with his second Master’s degree. This time, he earned a Master’s of Advanced Studies in Global Affairs from the prestigious Jackson School of Global Affairs at Yale University in the United States of America.
Thousands of the monarch’s subjects and Ugandan fans took to social media to congratulate their king, hailing his remarkable achievement. The King’s dedication to education serves as an inspiration to his subjects and Ugandan youths, demonstrating the importance of pursuing knowledge at the highest level.

A Trailblazing Leader
The Kyabazinga’s academic credentials continue to impress, with an MBA (Management) from Coventry University, UK, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kyambogo University, Uganda. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctorate of Business Administration (Strategic Management) at the University of Portsmouth, UK.
A Legacy of Excellence
By graduating from Yale University, the Kyabazinga joins an esteemed group of leaders, including Nelson Mandela, former US Presidents Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush, and the current Vice President of the USA. The King’s achievement is a testament to his hard work and determination, having completed the course on a merit-based full-board scholarship.

Using Education to Serve
According to the Minister for Kyabazinga Affairs, Owek Babirye Yudaya, and Omulangira (Prince) Wanume Paul, this Master’s degree is vital for the King’s role, enabling him to contribute effectively to development and combat global health crises, such as malaria and HIV/AIDS. As the National Champion against Malaria and UNAIDS National Goodwill Ambassador, the Kyabazinga is well-positioned to make a positive impact.
