Full Figure’s Assault Sparks Outrage: Calls for Justice Grow

Kampala, Uganda – August 31, 2025

Singer and presidential advisor Jennifer “Full Figure” Nakangubi was hospitalized after a violent assault in Kampala on Friday, August 29, 2025. The attack, which left her with severe facial injuries, including a bloated face, puffed lips, and black eyes, has sparked widespread condemnation.

According to police, Full Figure reported that she was intercepted and attacked along Kyadondo Road while heading to a hotel for a press conference organized by Central Executive Committee contestant Moses Kalangwa. The alleged assailants, identified as Justin Nameere, the NRM party’s Masaka District Woman MP flag bearer, and her husband, reportedly beat her before stealing her phone and Shs500,000.

“We are actively tracking down the suspects and have begun investigations into the matter,” said Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango. “We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist us in bringing the perpetrators to justice.”

The police have launched a manhunt for Nameere and her husband, and the case has been formally registered. The investigation is ongoing, and the public is urged to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities.
